In the art of sprouting seeds for food, Alfalfa Sprouts are probably the easiest to sprout. And, they are delicious and nutritious. You don't need a fancy spouting kit either. All you need is a glass jar, a small piece of cheese cloth, and a strong rubber band.

Please about two tablespoons of dry seeds in the jar, then cover with water. Let sit over night, then drain, rince and drain again. Then tilt the jar at an angle upside down so that there will be no standing water as the seeds begin to come alive.

Rince a couple times per day to make sure the seeds are kept moist and fresh. In just a few days, you'll have plenty of sprouts for adding to salads and sandwiches.

  Growing Tips

Grow your sprouts indoors. You don't need a sunny spot; indirect light will be enough.
